Believe You Me

from Great Deeds Demo 2011 by Great Deeds

lyrics

You tried to bring down the rain to wash them all away
Then paint a rainbow on the empty bones.
While you try to dream it up and build it up as best you can.
But now the carcass just sits on the hillside, you can see the remains now that all that remains to see
Is whether we can ride this storm or just drown in the glass you left half empty.

Excuse you me
But it isn't very ever after
To steal this view so easily
And leave behind a note to say you're up and out and on your way.

This legacy is something to be treasured when a lack of support can lead to this victory of sorts.
You turned a castle to rubble and left behind nothing but empty shops.
I used to look at the colour and sound of people but now all is grey with the silence of still machines.
Even with our glass half full all of our pockets are empty now.

So believe you me.
You can leave us all forever after.
You're not welcome on these streets no more.
When one and one is three then who's gonna listen to
Your one in four.

about

Great Deeds Sheffield, UK

Great Deeds play songs that are faster than they probably should be, songs that are slightly more melodic than people think they would be and songs that are a little more complicated than they first sound.
Its still punk... just in 7/8.
